How is your empathy muscle?

Empathy may be one of the essential skills that leaders will practice in 2020, especially as we move through the last few weeks leading into the election.

Empathy doesn’t mean that you have to agree with someone. You can still understand their experience and disagree with it.  Being empathetic means that you are empathizing with the emotions the other person is experiencing.

Empathy builds relationships. It opens lines of communication. It helps leaders address root issues rather than surface emotions.
