As we look back at 2020, the one skill that we wish every leader would have been equipped with is resilience. Although it can be taught at any time, resilience is much more challenging to teach when your employees are going through difficult circumstances.
Similar to training for a marathon, you do the training before the day of the event. The months of training prepare you for success on the day of the actual event. The same is true with resilience. If you equip your team in “good times”, it’s easier to call on those skills during challenging times.
