People need to feel success right now. For most of 2020, people haven’t known what success looks like.
Normally when we are setting our annual goals for our teams, departments, or people, we set big year-long goals but people just don’t have the resilience for those goals big overarching goals right now. The end of 2021 seems like a lifetime away.
Instead, of the big annual goals, think about setting micro goals for next year. When we give people very clear small wins for 2021 so they can start to feel success.
