An excerpt from Jen in action
What does she do at Riverbend?
Jen is an Executive Client Advisor and ICF Professional Certified Coach who brings experience as a Marketing Executive, Leadership Development Consultant, and small business owner to the Riverbend Group’s team of Client Advisors. Because of her direct, straight-talk approach and practical programs she has been the trusted advisor to advance the careers of managers leading in companies, including Intel, Lands’ End, Wells Fargo, and Microsoft. Additionally, her outside of work passion in Dragon Boating is an amazing advantage to our clients who experience the ONE Rowing (R) experience. She is uniquely qualified to help bring lessons out of the boat or racing shell and into the boardroom.
What did she do before joining #TeamRiverbend?
Prior to joining Riverbend, Jen led her own leadership consulting firm, TIAMAT Leadership. Before TIAMAT Leadership, she had the honor of leading marketing and technology teams in fast-paced technology startups across Fortune 500 organizations such as Sprint, Orbitz, and Oriental Trading Company. For over 20 years, she has tackled complex leadership challenges, team restructuring, organizational change, bridge-building across matrix environments, and cultivating results-oriented teams.
Where did she study?
Jen holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in Organizational Development and Leadership from University of Texas at Dallas, Naveen Jindal School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, minor in Psychology from Russell Sage College. She is a graduate of the Executive and Professional Coach Training Program at the University of Texas. What does she do other than Riverbend?
When she’s not coaching leaders and guiding teams to be greater, you can find Jen on Puget Sound waters, paddling with the Gig Harbor Dragon Boat Team. If she’s not on the water, look for her in the forest hiking with her co-pilot Cash, a 14-year old rescue German Shepherd. Paddles Up!
What’s her favorite Riverbend workshop or experience?
ONE Rowing, of course! Followed by Change Management: The Human Element® (there’s water and ice involved) and Results Centered Communication.
